GLOBAL HOUR OF AI
On 08 January 2026 (Thursday), an ACM Workshop was conducted as part of The Global Hour of AI, aiming to provide participants with a practical understanding of emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence. The workshop focused on both the transformative potential of AI and the responsibilities associated with its adoption. The first session highlighted the advantages of AI across sectors such as healthcare, education, and data-driven decision-making, while also addressing key concerns related to ethics, data privacy, job displacement, and responsible AI usage. This encouraged participants to critically evaluate the societal impact of AI technologies. The second session introduced MCV Servers, explaining their role, basic architecture, and importance in supporting scalable and efficient AI-driven applications. Overall, the workshop successfully combined conceptual insights with technical exposure, equipping students with a balanced perspective on the opportunities and challenges of rapidly evolving AI technologies. We also received USD 130 in financial support from ACM for the successful organization and execution of the Global Hour of AI.
